Location. Since 1948, the Balboa Bay Club and Resort has been a refuge for vacationers and leisure professionals in southern California's Newport Beach. Located just one mile from Newport Dunes and three miles from the shops at Fashion Island, this 15 acre seaside retreat provides high service standards and luxury accommodations. The concierge staff can arrange complimentary shuttle service to and from the Orange County/John Wayne Airport, and to attractions within a five mile radius.
Hotel Features. The Balboa Bay Club and Resort's lobby is beautifully arranged in Mediterranean style, where white columns, a circular mezzanine and vaulted ceilings greet the eye. In addition to the hotel's 17,000 square foot spa with steam rooms and saunas, this resort property boasts a hair salon, library lounge, and locker rooms with fireplaces. Located between three fashionable low rise buildings, the outdoor pool and courtyard area present guests with an intimate venue for relaxation, amid contemporary lounge furniture and lovely palms. The First Cabin serves seafood cuisine in a refined environment, where wall to wall windows offer an inspiring view of the marina.
Guestrooms. Guestrooms at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort feature muted earth tones, Pacific Rim d�cor and marble bathrooms. Beds feature pillow top mattresses and down duvets. As further evidence of this hotel's unyielding dedication to service, bathrobes and slippers are provided, as are cookies at nightly turndown.
Expert Tip. Newport Beach offers a range of recreational activities, including dedicated shopping at nearby Fashion Island, to body surfing at the Wedge, located at the south end of Balboa Peninsula. Resort guests can set a course for tiny Balboa Island and catch a ferry to the Balboa Peninsula, or remain at the resort and rent small, electric Duffy boats, which can be driven like cars.
